Personal Best

3.30 miles.

That was my distance this morning.

I am so thrilled that despite record-breaking heat and humidity, I just freakin' did it.

And, I have to admit that I am not-so-secretly very pleased and downright impressed with myself.

(Of course, My Nephew The Track Star is not so impressed, so there's that to keep me humble!)

sounds pretty impressive to me! I don't run well,it hurts my knees and shins (could be this big gut I am carrying around, lol!) but I walk,a nd I walk briskly. Yesterday I went 3 miles for the first time in a looong time. IT felt good. I even squeezed 75 ab crunching sit ups on the nautilus sit up machine in, between miles 1 and 2. So, what might not be a big deal to some people, can still be a big deal to you!

good job!

LMAO @ Kenny....
Way to go! A personal best is always an awesome feeling. And forget about your twinkie nephew track star -- he's probably 20 years younger than you, too. lol!
Peace,
Scout

Scott: Good for you! You're doing great!!! 75 crunches—OUCH!

Kenny: LOL!!! Yeah, I gots me plenty of stamina, baby!

MC: Did 3.47 today!!!

Scout: He's actually 32 years younger than me. He's still not impressed, though. (I think he is pleased I'm running, though.)

Pam: Yeah we're crazy, all right. But I'm crazy about losing 2 pants sizes and getting killer thighs at the ripe old age of 49, too! Plus, those ENDORPHINS!!!!

Sometimes I run until the bad goes away. Sometimes that takes all day. :) Run like the wind, baby!
Thinking of you today. Send some of that heat my way - it's brrrr coldy coldy here in Toronto.

I'm just tired reading about it! Well done :-)

I think we all need to gather one day and have a Sober-Run-A-Thon. Seems like we are all running these days and it is towards something (rather than away from something).

You sound so fab! People like us need those endorphins caused from a good run (even though it is not easy. I heard this Boot Camper say it does not get easier, but your distance and time does improve!)

Kuddos on your dedication.
